    I purchased t2 of the power cells last year to give to my husband for Father's DAy and another to give to my son who is a missionary in Nicaragua. Both were so pleased! My husband and keeps his close and uses often. My son has his in Nicaragua, where often he can lose power. It was a great gift know that it would help him over and over again. This Christmas, I ordered 3 of the radios and I must say they were a favorite gift! My husband and youngest son were talking about the different situations they would be able to use them and how it will help them. I have to wait to give to my oldest son in Nicaragua, but I know that it will also be a major help to him. The customer service is among none other and the team will help in any way that they can. The Liberty Band is an emergency solar weather radio. It receives NOAA weather alerts plus AM/FM and shortwave, has a built-in flashlight and a 600 mAh power bank, and charges four ways, solar, hand crank, USB or AAA batteries.

It keeps you informed when the power and cell networks fail, broadcasting 24/7 weather, forecasts and hazard alerts so you know what's coming and where's safe, while also lighting your way and giving your phone a little charge. Emergency alert functions include: Tornado, Thunderstorm, Flood, Earthquake, Tsunami, Amber Alert.

Tune in to NOAA weather, AM/FM or shortwave, or set weather-band alert mode so it stays quiet until severe weather hits. Recharge it by sun, the hand crank, USB or AAA batteries, and use its USB port to power a phone in a pinch.

Four ways: built-in solar panel (about 15 hours in direct sun), micro-USB fast charge, hand crank for power on demand, or AAA batteries. Charge it before a storm and use the crank as backup.

Yes. It's a battery-and-crank radio with no fumes, fine to use indoors. It has light water resistance but isn't waterproof, so keep it dry in heavy rain.

The 600 mAh battery runs the radio and flashlight and adds a little phone charge; the hand crank gives power whenever you need it, so it never fully dies as long as you can crank or find sun. Battery performance varies based on charging and usage conditions. See the footnote for details.

Unlike a phone weather app, it works with no grid, no cell service and no wall power, and its hand crank means it runs even with a dead battery, something solar-only radios can't promise.
